Crowsnest to Castle Mountain and Back July 18th-19tth 2021
Aubrey, Brayden and I set off on another bike packing adventure. This time going from the Crownest Ski Hill to Castle Mountain Resort and back. This was a nice trip as we luckily got to stay in a cabin at Castle, so the bikes were light, and the route was far better.
The first day we left Crowsnest riding out to Hillcrest and down the Adanac Road towards the Great Divide Trail. This was a long climb on a gravel road to a double-track trail that finished with a long rough descent down to Castle Mountain Resort.
The second day we headed out across the Castle Provincial Park towards the Sartorius Road. We chose to take the Great Divide Trail again which accessed a high ridge-line and gave a rough descent back to the valley. We then cut across to the backside of the Crowsnest Ski Hill finishing back at the trucks.
